Main Chemical Components: Primarily Linalol, small amounts thymol, carvacrol, borneol, cineol, and pinene. May contain geraniol, thujanol-4 or alpha-terpineol.
Blends Well With the essential oils: Bergamot, lemon, rosemary, lavender, lavandin, marjoram essential oils.
Description, Uses and Benefits:
Thyme linalol essential oil has the 'good' properties of thyme oil without the 'bad' (especially the skin irritating properties). Long known since ancient times as a medicinal herb, thyme essential oil has a warming effect which can be useful for arthritis, rheumatism, gout, muscular aches and pains, and sprains and sport injuries.
Thyme linalol has expectorant properties, and can help to relieve cough and congestion.
Aromatherapy Use: deodorant, antiseptic.
Cautions: Do not use Thyme essential oil when pregnant or if you have high blood pressure. Dilute to no more than 2%. It may cause irritation to sensitive skin. We recommend this powerful oil for practitioners only.
