Description, Uses and Benefits: Also called White Tea Tree, Kanuka comes from a small bushy tree indigenous to New Zealand. It was used originally by the Maori people of New Zealand for pain and inflammation relief, skin diseases, and to promote calmness and sleep. Kanuka essential oil has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory properties. Aromatherapy Use: Yarrow essential oil is used for a wide variety of complaints, including chest infections, digestive problems and nervous exhaustion. The Chinese use it for menstrual problems and in Scandinavia it is used for rheumatism. Yarrow essential oil is an extremely helpful oil for skin problems such as acne, eczema, oily skin, and can help reduce scarring. Our Yarrow essential oil is a gorgeous blue color and has similar properties to Blue Tansy and German (Blue) Chamomile. As with those oils, the blue color occurs during the distillation process. And, like Blue Chamomile and Blue Tansy oil, Yarrow essential oil has potent anti-inflammatory action, making it a useful oil for inflammatory skin conditions. |
