Botanical Name: Lavandula hybrida grosso, L. fragrans, L. hortensis Origin: France Family: Lamiaceae Aroma: Camphoraceous, herbaceous, floral Perfume Note: Middle to Top Method of Extraction: Steam distillation Source: Flowering tops Properties: Analgesic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aromatic, carminative, cholagogue, deodorant, diuretic, emmenagogue, insecticide, nervine, sedative, stimulant, stomachic, vulnerary Main Chemical Components: Borneol, camphor, cineol, geraniol, linalol, linalyl acetate. Blends Well With the essential oils: Cypress, geranium, citronella, clary sage, clove, cinnamon leaf, pine, thyme and patchouli essential oils. Description, Uses and Benefits: Lavandin essential oil is a hybrid plant, a cross between true lavender and spike lavender. Like Lavender, Lavandin is helpful for relaxation, and is also very useful in relieving muscle and joint pain and in easing respiratory congestion.
